Episode: 109 Big Battle! Hiei and Mukuro

Yu Yu Hakusho, Hiei and Mukuro's fight in the Demon World Tournament (Episode 109 / Chapter 172) ends with Hiei's defeat. Rather than a bitter death match, the brutal clash acts as a turning point where Hiei breaks the spiritual shackles tying Mukuro to her abusive past.

Following the tournament, Hiei chooses to stay in the Demon World and remains by Mukuro's side. Their bond is heavily rooted in their mirrored childhood traumas, moving from a commander-subordinate dynamic to a deeply personal connection
