  • The Battlefield: Ino, Chōji, and Temari arrive at Fushū Castle to rescue Shikamaru. They fight Gengo’s brainwashed elite guards: Sai, Rō, and Hinoko (Soku). [1, 2, 3]
  • Breaking the Curse: Ino uses her Mind Transfer Jutsu to dive into Sai's mind, addressing his deepest insecurities and successfully freeing him from Gengo's control. Chōji and Temari snap Rō and Hinoko out of their trance by overpowering them in battle. [1, 2, 3]
  • The Final Confrontation: Shikamaru corners Gengo in a pitch-black room designed to neutralize shadow jutsu. Gengo attempts to psychologically break Shikamaru, but Shikamaru finds strength by remembering his bonds with Naruto and his Leaf Village comrades. [1, 2]
  • The Resolution: Gengo is defeated and captured to face justice in the Hidden Leaf Village. Afterward, the episode features a monumental moment where Shikamaru asks Temari out on a date, and Sai warmly reconciles with Ino
