Kilobot Rising is the first episode of Medabots Spirit (known as Medarot Damashii in Japan), which serves as the sequel to the original Medabots anime series.
Episode Overview
Plot: The episode introduces Kilobots, aggressive and cold-hearted machines designed to win at any cost. Ikki and Metabee face a new enemy named Ginkai (Jinkai) and his powerful Kilobot, Exor.
Production: Unlike the original 52-episode series animated by Bee Train, Medabots Spirit was produced by Production I.G and Trans Arts, consisting of 39 episodes.
English Localization: In the West, it is often referred to as Season 3 of the overall Medabots anime. Several voice actors were replaced for this season, including the voices for Ikki and Erika.
