Goku's blue gi appears at the End of Dragon Ball Z (EoZ), symbolizing his transition to a martial arts master, training Uub, and a new era, contrasting his iconic orange gi; it's a darker, plain version of his early gi, featuring a bow belt, signifying his own path rather than a master's symbol, a look carried into Dragon Ball GT and often theorized for Dragon Ball Super, representing his growth beyond being a mere student.
