Digimon Adventure 02, titled "The Three Chosen Children" (or "The Opening of the Digital Gate" in the Japanese original), the new team of DigiDestined is officially established. 

Episode Summary

After Davis Motomiya receives his Digivice and awakens Veemon in the premiere, this episode follows the group's return to the Digital World to investigate the "Digimon Emperor." While there, they discover two more Digi-Eggs—the Digi-Egg of Love and the Digi-Egg of Knowledge. 

Key events include:

New Partners: Yolei Inoue and Cody Hida are chosen as the second and third new DigiDestined.

Armor Digivolution: Yolei lifts the Digi-Egg of Love to partner with Hawkmon, while Cody lifts the Digi-Egg of Knowledge to partner with Armadillomon.

The First Battle: The new trio, along with T.K. and Kari, face off against a group of Mojyamon controlled by the Digimon Emperor's Dark Rings
