Episode Plot Summary

This episode continues the Kazekage Rescue Mission arc as Team Kakashi and Team Guy head toward the Akatsuki hideout to save Gaara.

Encounters with Akatsuki: Both teams are intercepted by formidable members of the Akatsuki. Team Kakashi comes face-to-face with Itachi Uchiha, while Team Guy is confronted by Kisame Hoshigaki.

The Battle with Kisame: The episode focuses heavily on Team Guy's struggle against Kisame. Kisame uses a massive Water Release jutsu to transform the desert landscape into a watery battlefield, giving him a significant advantage.

Might Guy's Memory: Despite having fought Kisame in the past, Might Guy hilariously fails to remember him, which deeply irritates Kisame.

Naruto's Training: Flashbacks show Naruto practicing his genjutsu-breaking skills under Jiraiya's tutelage, preparing him for the inevitable confrontation with Itachi's visual prowess.

Generally only 10-30 scripts of each episode exist. These aren't for public sale and occasionally get sneaked out or given at very selected conventions in Japan.
