Episode 56 of Cardcaptor Sakura is titled "Sakura, Kero, and the Sweet Meeting" (Japanese: さくらとケロのお菓子な出会い), and originally aired on November 9, 1999. In the heavily edited English Cardcaptors dub, it was released under the title "Spinning Out of Control".

📝 Episode Plot Summary

During Tomoeda Elementary School's bazaar, Sakura's class is busy running a cafe serving sweets and drinks to attendees. Naturally attracted to the abundance of delicious food, Kero sneaks into the nearby woods to feast.

While hiding, Kero encounters Spinel Sun ("Suppie"), Eriol’s hidden guardian creature, who is in his small, false form. Completely oblivious to Spinel's true identity, Kero mistakes him for a harmless fairy or a new toy and forces him to eat a sweet.

Unbeknownst to Kero, Eriol has uniquely hardcoded Spinel so that eating sugar has an immediate, severe "intoxication" effect on him. A hyperactive, sugar-drunk Spinel goes completely out of control, flying across the school and eating every piece of candy meant for the bazaar. To solve the chaos, Kero convinces Sakura to use The Sleep card to put the crowd to sleep so they can restrain Spinel. Once the coast is clear, Kero transforms into his true form to catch him, but Spinel is whisked away by Eriol's magic. At the end of the episode, the Sleep card is successfully transformed into a Sakura Card, and Sakura leaves Kero to take full blame for the mess.
