Episode 29 of Flower Child Lunlun (originally titled Hana no Ko Lunlun in Japan) is titled "Here I am Drifting Inside of the Blimp". It originally aired on September 7, 1979 in Japan as part of Toei Animation's classic 50-episode magical girl series. [1, 2, 3]
🎬 Episode Overview & Historical Context
  • Japanese Title: "熱気球よ大空へ" (Nekkikyū yo Ōzora he) / "Here I am Drifting Inside of the Blimp". [1]
  • The Plot Structure: True to the series' episodic nature, the story follows the magical girl Lunlun, along with her talking companions Cateau and Nouveau, as they travel across Europe. In this specific adventure, they encounter a story involving a blimp or hot-air balloon. As always, the selfish fairy Togenishia and her sidekick Yavoque attempt to steal Lunlun's magic, but Lunlun utilizes her magical Flower Key to transform, solve the crisis, and help the people she meets. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • The Flower Language: At the end of the episode, the mysterious photographer Serge rewards the characters Lunlun helped by gifting them flower seeds. These seeds carry a symbolic meaning tied to the moral lesson learned during the episode. [1]
🌍 English Release & Availability
  • The "Flower Angel" Movie Connection: While the complete 50-episode series was never fully dubbed into English, Episode 29 holds a special place for Western fans. In 1985, Harmony Gold edited together a select few episodes into a compressed, feature-length English-dubbed film titled Flower Angel. Episode 29 was one of the core episodes selected to make up the plot of that movie. [1, 2, 3]
  • Alternative Names: Depending on where you watched it, the show or character may be known as Lulu, The Flower Angel, Angel, a Menina das Flores, or simply Angel.

Generally only 10-30 scripts  each episode exist. These aren't for public sale and occasionally get sneaked out or given at very selected conventions in Japan, I'm keeping 1 for my own collection so get it while you can.

These were used by the voice actors in the studio in Japan. These are not copies or look alikes.
